Security

The James Doyle Photography website includes security features, which are designed to protect the accuracy and confidentiality of the information under our control. Your details will remain confidential to you and the system administrator. This information is kept in a separate secure database and is not accessible via the internet. We undertake a regular review of security measures, in order that our website remains safe for your privacy and protection.  The website is scanned regularly for viruses and other malicious software and spam. When making a booking, purchasing a product or service, we utilise a Secure Sockets Layer Connection (SSL) for any banking or confidential information you provide. Your account details is also protected via SSL encryption. Look for the little green padlock in the browser address bar to see when your information is protected by SSL encryption. The James Doyle Photography website may contain links to other sites, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites.

Data Protection

Any information that you supply to James Doyle Photography via this website will be used only for our administrative, marketing and accounts record-keeping purposes. We update our database records on a regular basis and are committed to keeping all client information confidential, current and accurate. Data backups are undertaken on regular intervals.

We utilise a Secure Sockets Layer Connection (SSL) for any banking or confidential information you provide. What Is SSL? SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server (website) and a browser; or a mail server and a mail client. SSL allows sensitive information such as credit card numbers, phone numbers, home address, banking details and login credentials to be transmitted securely. Normally, data sent between browsers and web servers is sent in plain text, leaving you vulnerable to “eavesdropping”. If an attacker is able to intercept all data being sent between a browser and a web server they can see and use that information. You are protected when using the James Doyle Photography website. In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.

I also employ a range of other security measures to protect any information you provide to James Doyle Photography.

  • Secure Sockets Layer Connection (SSL)
  • Password Encryption
  • Anti-virus software
  • Firewalls
  • Spam protection
